Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful response! I think the things you are doing are important. Even when they do not go as well as you had hoped, as in the last example, my guess is that you still did some good. I bet that Pastor was nudged to think some new thoughts, and maybe will be more open to suggestions like yours next time.
